2017 summer intensive
Some artist on artist action. Two of the resident artists in Reconsidering Reconciliation decided to combine their skills as producers and receivers of artistic practice. In this instance, Peter Morin was the canvas, Gabrielle Hill the creative force. Using a tattoo technique that involves equipment no more complex than needle and thread, Gabe creates a brilliant and beautiful hummingbird on Peter’s chest. One thing that Peter notes is that he has always admired Gabe’s practice and this residency gives him the opportunity to have a permanent piece of work by her. Quite literarily, he will carry it everywhere he goes.
