2017 summer intensive

Greetings all:

Our summer intensive course, Indigenous Art Activism, is in half-way through, and the next few days will feature numerous talks, events, and performances, all open to the public.

Tuesday, July 29
Artists discuss their works and the contexts of arts activism, Indigenous practices, and beyond.

10:15 am: Cheryl L’Hirondelle (digital media, performance)
11:00 am: Mimi Gellman (installation, painting)
11:45 am: Casey Koyczan (installation)
Please do drop in at Creative and Critical Studies Building Room 221 and join in the conversation.

1 pm: Beading Circle, led by Sherry Farrell Racette
Note: this event will be held at the Woodhaven Eco Cultural Centre, 969 Raymer Road, Kelowna. Drop-ins welcome!

10 am: Sewing Action: Jaimie Isaac and Leah Decter discuss their “(official denial) trade value in progress” project, followed by a sewing action that will continue through the morning.
